I'd like to share with you a person who's encouraging words & messages have changed my life for the better Joel Olsteen. I came across Mr. Olsteen while flipping channels, he is a pastor spreading God's messages in a positive & relatable way. After I saw him once I began watching all his YouTube videos as often as I could especially when I was feeling down or discouraged. I hope he encourages you & uplifts your spirit as much as he's done mine & millions of others. You don't have to be religious in order to listen to Joel since his messages are 100% positivity filled. So as you gals may know I'm a reader. I began reading the New York Times Best Seller "Strengths Finder 2.0" by Tom Rath. This book is backed by more than 50 Years of studying people & their strengths. Here are a few interesting quotes: 'what's more, we had discovered that people have several times more potential for growth when they invest energy in developing their strengths instead of correcting their deficiencies.' I too have thought this from reading other books and also feel this also pertains to our looks, we All have insecurities but why bother concentrating on those when we can concentrate instead of what we do love about ourselves, which will always make us feel way better and whats more important than that?
Now when it comes to career & personality 'our studies indicate that people who do have the opportunity to focus on their strengths every day are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs and more than three times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life in general.' Many times people are stuck in jobs or careers where they are not taking advantage of their biggest strengths and what a waste that must be so I decided to invest $10 into taking their online test at www.strengthsfinder.com. Choose the Strengths Finder Test 2.0, it really is a great investment. My top 5 strengths turned out to be Maximizer, Positivity, Focus, Futuristic and activator - which couldn't describe me any better! I love it because it provides you with your top strengths, explanations of these as well as an action plan on how to incorporate them into your life & career. FYI I'm not getting paid for giving this recommendation. I always blog about things that I feel have helped better my life & share that info with you Bellas. Hope you find your biggest strengths & use them to your full potential. Xoxo

I absolutely love this! One of the main reasons I started this blog was because I would hear and still at times hear my girlfriends complain about their looks. I was very blessed to have amazing parents to always remind me of how beautiful I am and although I know I'm not a model I always try to concentrate on my best assets and strengths as a person. That's what I also encourage all my gfs and girls in general to do, no negative self talk. It serves you no purpose to call yourself 'ugly' because you are not really able to see yourselves the way your loved ones do. I see my friends and I think about how beautiful they are & I make sure to remind them because I love them, don't ever take that away from yourself. Don't be afraid to be your true authentic self and become your own best friend because once you do life really does get easier. Xoxo Bellas
'Currently only 24% of women in the United States say that they consider themselves a feminist. Yet when offered a more specific definition of feminism -'A feminist is someone who believes in social, political, and economic equality of the sexes' - the percentage of women who agree rises to 65%.' -Sheryl Sandberg
I know the word feminist is usually seen as an overpowered woman but in reality it's more like an empowered woman who would like equality in society and I'm all up for that. Therefore, I'm declaring myself a feminist for life because I'm sure this battle will take some time to conquer. I would love for my children or at least grandchildren to be able to experience total equality, looking forward to it!
